    When is the trip?

If it's this summer, you may be too late for Jasper, and quite possibly for Banff. With free park entry, the weak Canadian dollar (and strong US $), we're expecting record crowds. Many places have been booked up for months.

I would very strongly suggest making sure you can find accommodation BEFORE booking any plane tickets. Expect that weekends and holidays will be nearly sold out, and rooms that are still available will average around $300 per night.

We generally suggest 2-3 nights in Jasper and 3-4 nights in Banff/Lake Louise/Canmore. Then 1-2 nights to Vancouver. At this point, you may have to be creative. Jasper will be the hardest - hotels are pretty much booked solid. Private home accommodations may have some availability (www.stayinjasper.com), but you'll need to book ASAP and do some legwork to find a room. Build your trip around any availability there - more or less time in Banff/Canmore to start or finish.
Lake Louise is probably booked solid. Banff may have some rooms (www.banfflakelouise.com). Canmore is a good alternative, though likely to have limited availability.

If you can't find anywhere in Jasper, you may need to do a day trip on the Icefields Parkway. Depending on availability in Banff/Canmore, you may end up spending more time in BC. If needed, you can see Yoho NP and even the Lake Louise area from Golden. And fill out your trip with time in Revelstoke, and BC (Okanagan, Vancouver area).
